What you will do
As a Hydraulic Piping Surveyor, you will visit customers to measure piping installations. These customers are primarily companies in the maritime sector (onshore). During the measurements, you will create isometric drawings of the piping systems. These drawings are then sent to the workshop, where your colleagues fabricate the pipes. Depending on the task, the data can also be directly entered into one of our CNC bending machines. You ensure that the piping meets the customer’s requirements.
Clear communication is essential in your role. You’ll notify the work preparation team of material needs in a timely manner, such as the type of pipe material, fittings, and quantities. You’ll also keep the customer informed, as you’ll be their main point of contact.
What makes this job so exciting? It’s ad hoc work, meaning you need to be flexible. Sometimes plans will change at the last minute, and in this field, it’s crucial to be solution-oriented and work independently.
