The project
Requirements for these winches:
A. You must be able to switch them at different speeds; at a high speed when the load is low and at a low speed when the load is high.
B. You must be able to switch while free running. This is required to ensure that the cable can be lowered freely.
C. You must be able to switch in constant tension modes. The winch will ensure the pulling force is constant both with regard to the heaving and lowering direction.
Our approach
Hydrauvision has built up much experience in developing and building hydraulic CT winches during the past decades. The concept for these winches is based on this. The winches are built based on two large torque hydraulic motors. The significant advantage of these hydraulic motors is the compact building method and the high mechanical performance. This ensures that they have excellent CT properties in an open control loop.
