For a remarkable project in the historic Shipbuilding Hall in Rotterdam, Hydrauvision Rental supplied high-performance hydraulic equipment to Blacon. Commissioned by J.P. van Eesteren | TBI and the Port of Rotterdam, a former 17.5-ton shipyard door was repurposed as a permanent wall structure.
Measuring 27.5 x 5.5 meters, the structure was suspended from the original overhead crane — a complex and precise operation.
Our contribution
Hydrauvision provided:
2x HydrauWinch 30 CT – compact, powerful winches
1x HydrauPack 45E – electric driven, low-noise powerpack
Service Engineer Paul was on-site to manage the setup. He laid out extensive hydraulic hoses and electrical cables and devised an efficient method to connect everything while the structure was already suspended. After successful testing, Blacon carried out the final lifting operation the following day.
uit en bedacht een slimme aanpak voor het aansluiten terwijl het geheel al op hoogte hing. Na een succesvolle test is de equipment de volgende dag door Blacon in gebruik genomen.
We thank Blacon for the trust and for sharing the photos.
