What you will do
Before you start writing PLC code, it’s crucial to create a Functional Design Specification (FDS). This document outlines how the system will operate and needs client approval before you proceed with programming. Therefore, it’s essential that you excel at clearly and accurately documenting the steps in the software design process.
As a software engineer, managing time and deadlines can be challenging. On average, you’ll work on 3 to 4 projects simultaneously, while also handling internal questions as they arise. This means you need to work independently and thrive in dynamic and sometimes demanding situations.
Lastly, you’ll assist with software integration and ensure everything runs smoothly during commissioning. This requires flexibility and a proactive mindset but also offers the opportunity to explore new environments.
What you excel at
- Programming PLCs
- Drafting FDS documents
- Testing the developed software in real-world scenarios
- Reviewing electrical schematics
What we expect from you
- A completed Higher Professional Education (HBO) degree or an MBO 4 degree with relevant work experience
- Affinity with systems like Siemens, B&R, Codesys, and Danfoss Plus+1
- Proficiency in English
