The “Absorber” will be fully scaffolded and wrapped in foil to remove and reapply conservation coatings. However, the scaffold with foil might catch wind, potentially causing the tower to topple. To prevent this, Freyssinet has been tasked with installing stay-cable wires under specific tension.
Hydrauvision Rental’s HydrauWinch 10, in combination with the electrically driven HydrauPack 45E, is being used to safely hoist the cables.
The winch cable plays a crucial role during the assembly and disassembly of the stay-cable wires, carefully lifting them while suspended from the guide wire. The winch cable remains in place after the stay-cable wires are installed until the project is completed.
