The project
The new survey vessel, named ‘Meermin IV’, measures 15.15 m by 4.90 m and is suitable for conducting hydrographic surveys along the coast of ‘Zeeland’ in the Netherlands. This vessel will replace the ‘Meermin III’ vessel after 40 years.
Our approach
Hydrauvision supplied two Danfoss Editron permanent magnet motors, four machines and four inverters that provide power generation and propulsion for the vessel. Electrauvision then commissioned the supplied electrical components on site. The ship’s design takes in account future plans to be converted into a battery powered full electric vessel.
